Poster illustration for a play at Dramaten, the Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden, called “Drömmen om heron” or “The Dream Of A Gentlemen’s Island”.

The idea for the poster was to picture an idyllic natural island where men of all types could live in seclusion, peace and harmony. The play featured member of the famous comedy group Killinggänget, but they didn’t want their faces to appear on the poster. I had to come up with inventive ways to obscure all the faces, with a little inspiration from René Magritte.

The illustration was painted in acrylic on board.
